  • Engineering: B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. (Engineering) / 5-year Integrated M.Tech in relevant discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks.
  • Science: M.Sc. / Integrated M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Biosciences, Geology, or Geophysics with minimum 60% marks.
  • Applicants must have a valid GATE Score (2024/2025/2026) OR appear for the BARC Online Exam.

Selection Process & Salary Details

  • Screening: Candidates are shortlisted via two channels:
    • Online Examination: Conducted by BARC in March 2026.
    • GATE Score: Valid GATE 2024/2025/2026 Score in relevant discipline.
  • Selection Interview: Shortlisted candidates will attend interviews in May-June 2026. Final selection is based solely on interview performance.
  • Stipend: ₹74,000/- per month during training (plus book allowance).
  • Salary on Appointment: Scientific Officer (Level 10) with Basic Pay ₹56,100. Total monthly emoluments approx. ₹1,35,000/- (including allowances).
